中國官媒「環球時報」昨晚引述不具名的中國軍方人士報導說：「中國人民解放軍在整個通過過程中進行了全程跟蹤、監控與警戒行動。」
美國軍艦每隔幾個月就會航經台灣海峽，這常引發北京憤怒；而包括法國、澳洲、英國和加拿大在內的部分美國盟友，也曾不時通行。
